Buenos Aires city tour
Today was the last day of of our itinerary: a half day tour of Buenos Aires. For me the highlight was the Cementerio de la Recoleta, a beautiful cemetery containing many wonderful crypts and tombs. Many of the interred were Argentinian notables including presidents, artists and business people. In my view the most notable was Eva Peron, whose remains had quite a journey before being laid to rest in the Duarte family tomb.
The cemetery was quite crowded with school students and others, plus I was listening to our guide so I didn't take many photos but I liked the crypt in my main, without knowing who is buried there.
My extra shows one of the fellow travellers calling out to me to get into the Uber taking us to an Italian restaurant of our guide's choosing. Food was nice but rich, given the excesses of the past couple of weeks.
Tomorrow we are flying to Salta for a few days before heading home.
