Rhododendron

Although it's another dull and rainy day, these wonderful rhododendron bushes, which adorn the woods around here, brighten up the countryside.

Apparently, there are around a thousand species of rhododendrons, although only specialist botanics would be able to tell the difference.

Some rhododendron bushes are very harmful to bees whilst others are not. This confuses bee keepers when they find bees are dying from visiting rhododendron bushes which look exactly the same as other bushes that have produced no ill effects!
