Two years ago I went on a weekend meet with the mountaineering club to the Isle of Arran. The weather was terrible. Simon and I got up early to hike up to the Rosa Pinnacle with big plans to climb the 4* classic South Ridge Direct. When we got up there we found we could barely stand up in the wind. We trudged back down the glen in defeat. We are heading back this weekend, another JMCS climbing meet. Weather forecast is looking unbelievably good. Fingers crossed it remains that way!
