In the Cut!

A canal and chase walk today. We started off from the Seven Springs car park at the northern end of Cannock Chase. We end up crossing Milford Common and heading to the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal. We walked along here to the Haywood Junction where this canal meets the Trent and Mersey Canal.

We then switched canals for a short stretch until we veered off over the Essex Bridge and the River Trent. This lead us to the Shugborough estate where we stopped off for lunch. Spicy veggie pasties!!

We then returned to the Trent and Mersey Canal  and continued south and then back to the car.
