Knots

I ended up at Kirkcudbright today because I wanted to see the Scottish Portrait Awards 2023 exhibition.  I enjoyed it and there was food for thought in that there were a significant number of photographs on show, including colour photographs.  The paintings and drawings were mostly traditional, nothing wrong with that if they are executed well, and many of the photographs were taken using film.  There was a high tide while I was there, so my photograph is a close up of a huge knot helping to keep one of the scallop dredgers steady.
