Disappointment

We watched the Rugby World Cup Final between the All Blacks and the Springboks this morning and were very disappointed with the result. However, we have to accept that the Springboks were the better team on the day.


After the match was over we walked down to the Farmers’ Market, made a couple of purchases, had a chat with a couple we met at the Newcomers’ Group, then walked back up the hill.  On our way we admired this lovely wisteria in Jones Park on the corner of Itchen and Thames Streets.

This afternoon we pulled up the carpet in the entrance to check that the floorboards are OK (for tiling), took down the sheer curtains in our bedroom to save time in the morning (double glazing being installed), moved some paintings out of the way; and I made Halloumi which, fingers crossed, turned out well.
