Checking Out
This morning we had a brief cruise along the final section of the Caledonian Canal back to the Caley Cruisers boatyard to return our boat.
We popped down to the sea lock at Clachnaharry for a brief walk and so we could say we'd seen both ends of the canal, before heading to Simpsons Cafe for a snack. I had a really epic sausage roll!
Our next stop was at the Atholl Palace Hotel for afternoon tea to break the journey. It was delicious.
We got a bit held up by roadworks on the A9, but still arrived home in reasonable time to greet the cats and unpack.
One of the cats turned up with a big smear of what we assume was fox poo up her side. She was duly captured and wiped, but needed more thorough cleaning. Following advice from the internet we used Ketchup to remove the poo and de-stink her, then showered off the affected area. She was astonishingly compliant through this, and although she looked a bit sorry for herself afterwards she didn't appear to hold a grudge. I can only assume she understood we were trying to help us and she didn't like the poo being there any more than we did...
