My final (I hope) bookshelves will be made from planks and bricks - just like student days. I already have planks exactly the right length and, as everyone who knows me will understand, I have the bricks. I brought them in from the rain four days ago and this morning I started brushing off the soil and lichen. Then realised a dry scrubbing brush wouldn't do - I needed water and a wire brush. So by this evening, I had clean bricks that need to dry again and tired hands.

Much brick shunting, as I work out which have the best ends, sides and tops so I can show them off to their best advantage.

It's probably diagnosable.
