Look who's come to dinner!

This spring my garden has been teaming with young sparrows. I'd like to think it's my charm, wit and good humour but I suspect it's the bird feeder.

How they've survived I'v no idea as this year my neighbours have inherited two ferocious feline serial killers. But today even they stayed indoors, leaving the spoils of the feeder wars to this avian assassin.

She's (?) actually just perched in a branch looking down onto my feeder the cheeky bugger.

But no free meal this time. She's camera shy and took flight as soon as she saw me. As she left I could hear the sparrows sigh with relief.
