"Homing..."

500 young people from Ashington have worked with Woodhorn Museum & artist Bethan Maddocks to create 'Homing', a new art installation at Woodhorn Museum inspired by the tradition of homing pigeons.

'Homing' celebrates Ashington's 150th anniversary, and each pigeon carries a message about the young people's home town, past, present and future.

Plan B today - a "Scout Hut if wet" alternative because of the weather!

A trip to Woodhorn this morning to view the Pitmen Painters exhibition, and walk through the excellent Coal Town displays - a history of mining in the area.

After lunch a spot of retail therapy at Boundary Mills - bags, shoes, pillows and a teapot among the purchases ;)

Tea and TTCs back at the ranch as darkness fell...early...
