Rainy football

We went to see my grandson Barnaby play football this morning, we set off dry but it was soon pouring and there was torrential rain for the whole match. But it was good to see him and he enjoyed playing. It’s only his second match with this team so he’s still finding his feet but he did well. He started playing in a team when he was 8 but was put off by the high expectations of the coach and gave up. So it’s been a big step for him at 12 to start playing again. I kind of think we did well too standing in the pouring rain watching him!
