Torrential rain and jollity

A combination which is probably only understood by diehard ramblers. This was the second of the short walks aimed at whatever is the opposite of diehard ramblers. In the event we had a very happy group of folk who know each other well and one new walker who clearly loved it The rain was slightly less intense after a long coffee break in the Pollok House cafe.

The Gang of Four plus one came back to mine for a soup lunch. V had some good news to import so we also drank quite a lot of pink Prosecco. In the middle of this second iteration of jollity Islay dog arrived for her city break with Lorne and Liv who had spent the morning in the science centre.

Islay has now repaired to the spare bedroom with her head resting on the windowsill looking for dogs to bark at. And I’m enjoying the peace and quiet, notwithstanding the odd woof here and there.
