Baby mushrooms

I walked in a new place this morning, a woodland with thousands of mushrooms. I think these are mushrooms in the making, but I have never seen anything like this before. I'm not sure if it was something to do with this walk, but I spent the evening at the emergency vet as Ellie had a horrible tummy bug!
