Chocolat

Just starting on my catch up blips after a busy few days….but each blip was taken on the right day so I think that’s ok? This one is baking birthday brownies thee day before Hannah’s birthday - her request and the first year I haven’t baked a “proper” birthday cake for her…..but she’s growing up and as she doesn’t particularly like cake she would end up not eating any of it! So I relinquished baking a cake that would have been more for me than her and went for the brownies which are always a favourite for special occasions. The rich chocolate mixture reminded me of the film Chocolat (a must see if you haven’t watched it) and all was going well and according to plan - until I dropped the cake tray whilst taking it out of the oven!! Squidgy brownie on the oven glass door (which was retrievable) and on the kitchen floor (which was not retrievable) as well as what was left in the tray (the majority to be fair) - result, more of a brownie crumble effect. There was a time I would have burst into tears but actually ended up laughing (after a very loud scream as it happened) and will let you know the outcome in tomorrow’s blip.
Sorry for not commenting on blips for a few days - I’m planning some blip browse time this week to make up for it X
