Big Cats
After a very comfortable overnight stay in the Big Cat Sanctuary in Kent, we had a very good breakfast before taking a tour of the second half of the site we didn't cover yesterday. We were given the background stories to all the residents we saw as well as each being given the opportunity to do a hand feed. Annie picked a lion to feed, I chose a leopard. We were instructed very precisely and were obviously the other side of a strong wire fence to the cats! By far the closest I've ever got to something this powerful however!
Too soon it was time to leave, thankfully we missed the worst of the rain. We drove around the M25 clockwise to Sutton where we had a lovely lunch and fun afternoon with daughter Immy and boyfriend Ollie. It is the first time we'd seen them since their three week trip to Peru in September and we got a great rundown on all their adventures (and lots of photos).
It has been a good birthday weekend.
