Old Post Box Survivor

It suppose the house where this George V postbox is sited was a normal terraced house. At some point the property became a post office using just one downstairs room. When I first moved to the area I needed to purchase some postage stamps and walked into someone’s living room it seemed. Disorienting to say the least. That had a post box outside which was decommissioned when postal services were moved to a garage. Oh dear. But this example lives on with letters being collected whilst the house has reverted to normal domestic use.
