Soggy Day

Probably the wettest journey North I have ever undertaken.
Only heading to Chilly Castle in Northumberland for a weekend celebrating Joe & Linda's Ruby Wedding anniversary. Up to Scotland is to follow next week.
The roads to the castle were challenging to navigate; the River Till having burst its banks in a number of locations. We almost came a cropper at one point trying to drive through a flood, less than a mile from our destination. Reversed out just in time and we were lucky to be led by a couple of locals who knew of less wet alternative routes.
