Zubr – Migration Story

This triptych is by far the most complex display by Sew N Sew currently on display in unoccupied shop windows in the town centre and has proved to be much more difficult to photograph than any of the others. Separately, the artist behind Toron Costumes has replied and told me these works are not hers, though she is as impressed by them as I am. Now that I have seen the work she produces, I suspect she is significantly younger than the people who created these.

Zubr is the name of the European Bison – hunted to extinction in the wild in the early 20th century

Zubr is also the name of a lager brewed in Poland since 1768
Zubrowka is a Polish vodka known in English as Bison Grass

Just praying that Palestinians aren't hunted to extinction in the wild in the early 21st century
