Stalking

It's a tedious business, picking over the fruit for a Christmas cake. The raisins and sultanas were not too difficult but the currants are so much smaller and their stalks pro rata.

Here is the pile of debris after all 12 oz have been cleaned. I can't guarantee complete success, one or two may have crept in but, as Mr Flum is the principal consumer, I don't think that would be a problem.

All the fruit is now soaking in a concoction of strong alcohol, á la Delia, to be converted into a cake at some point in the future.
