The Sunshine Ferry

Today we went with our graduated herbal group and our now ex-teacher to the dutch national park the Biesbosch, somewhere i'd always wanted to go. It's a protected wildlife area of wetlands, that you can mostly only see by canoo or with quiet electric boats, but we took the ferry and went for a walk in the sunshine. There were signs of the presence of beavers everywhere but we were too noisy to see any. It was a very happy two days (see also yesterdays' backblip) and it feels like years of friendship and professional support to come, so sitting here waiting for the Zonnepont (the Sunshine Ferry) felt quite symbolic.
