I got a couple of hours' sleep on a flight that left Guayaquil at 22:00, and landed in Amsterdam at 13:00. On the flight, knowing I'd be bored and catching up on other things when I arrived, I bought WiFi and started assessing support for a HiGHS (our software) workshop in June of next year. 

In Amsterdam I arrived to the sort of pouring rain that's been a feature of Scotland while I've been away. I felt OK initially, but then the fatigue of a short night with little sleep hit me. I couldn't wait to board the flight to Edinburgh so that I could go to sleep! 

Although cold, it was thankfully dry in Edinburgh, and I'm now on a bus to Penicuik
