Six doves a-pecking
Taken through the kitchen window after I spotted no fewer than half-a-dozencollared doves (Streptopelia decaocto) hoovering up the sunflower seeds and dried calciworms that I'd put out when I filled the feeder hanging from a branch above them.
The day brightened as it progressed. We went to Bourne and I did a little mooching around the town and general shopping, while Mr PP went to the tip and popped into Lidl for a few groceries.
On the way home, at dusk (even though it was only about 4:15pm) mists were rising from all the low-lying fields. Such a beautiful thing to see, but steady traffic meant we couldn't pull in for me to take a photo. The pictures remain in my head.
