Stepping Out

Suffering from pollen overload now but it was worth it!  Another university event, this time a screening of Untold Herstory, an account of three female political prisoners at the concentration camps on Green Island-an islet off the east coast of Taiwan-in the 1950s.  Very interesting, and now motivated to find out a lot more about Taiwan's history. Ironically we had cancelled our attendance of , the museum book group's Chiang Kai Shek - An Unauthorised Biography earlier in the day (I hadn't got around to starting it and it wasn't my husband's cup of tea).  I will delve into it as soon as I finish my current books (The House of Doors - a dip into Malaysian history, and Bennelong & Phillip - an Australian joint biography).

Passed this family (one of a multitude of duck families heading off for an evening swim) as I was navigating around an unfamiliar part of campus and liked the play of sun.
