MOTHER NATURE'S SURPRISE ON HALLOWEEN

A look out the kitchen window to the dwarf lilac trees which were covered with leaves only 48 hours ago.

According to my local meteorologist, it has snowed on Halloween in this area only 12 times in the 152 years they've been keeping records.  Well, this is the first snowfall of the newly minted winter season and it has set an all time record.  We have over 3 inches (7.6+ cm) of fluff stuff.  Only it's not so fluffy.....it's very wet and heavy.

With the street all torn up for sewer and water installation and all the fresh snow the kid's Halloween Candy Quest will be hampered.  I suspect there will not be a lot of Trick or Treaters coming around this year.
