Alice

I was working in Lyndhurst today and after I'd finished I walked across to the church. From the hill I could see my primary school where I started 40 years ago this September. From the school we often used to cross the road to the church and one thing which I always found fascinating was this grave - it's where Alice Liddell (Hargreaves) is buried, who inspired Lewis Carroll to create the character of Alice in Alice in Wonderland. There's a closer shot of the inscription here. The grave is full of rose bushes which are all about to burst into flower.
