Happy ending

The long flight to LAC was merely a prelude to. a 90 minute wait to get through immigration at LAX. Exiting into the arrivals area I was contemplating the chore of getting an Uber home when I heard the sweet sound of Catherine’s voice greeting me - a very pleasant surprise.
