Tiscali

We started the day with breakfast at the hotel, then headed for a walk around Cala Gonone, which has a beautiful seafront walk, lots of beautiful Mediterranean pine trees, plants and a few beautiful beaches. We headed up through the mountain road to find a rough gravel road above Oliena. A super drive through Valle Laittina, where we parked, then started the trek to Tiscali. A fantastic path, this was the crux, going through a thin crack in the crag, and on through some amazing limestone formations.
Tiscali is a collapsed cave, huge, which is the remains of a pre-historic hill fort and settlement. There was someone up there collecting the 5 Euros entrance fee. It really was amazing. We found a different excellent path down, through limestone and beautiful forests.
After the hike, we headed to Tortoli, Arbatax where we were staying for 2 nights. It was next to a lovely beach, and I had time for a swim in the sea, and just as the sun went down a soak in the spa pool which had an excellent view.
