Suez Canal
To the State Library to see the 400 Photographs exhibition, my pick for the mid-week cultural outing, followed by a stroll through The Rocks.
I used to dismiss laneways like this as sanitised and touristy, but I do like the site-specific public art. The metallic figures hugging the walls in Suez Canal represent the larrikin pushes, or gangs, that roamed here in the late 19th century. Now their silhouettes light up in outline at night.
Thanks for hosting BobsBlips.
