Made it!

We were thwarted a couple of years ago with flooding on this side of the valley so today was the day to find Millican Dalton’s Cave (and have a more easy going walk than yesterday).

The woods sheltered us from the rain pretty well and it cleared up much more quickly than forecast. We enjoyed an explore of the cave and made our way hopefully to the Flock In tearoom in Rosthwaite. Open! 

We then enjoyed meandering back on the other side of Castle Crag, admiring the changing colours of the trees along the way.

More welcome feet up time before meeting up for a G&T and another delicious dinner.
