Well I walked into the shop...

... and asked for eyes for a blue tit.  "Of course" the assistant in Kendal Crafting said and produced a box full of beads of various sizes.  So that's my first attempt at making bird decorations for the Christmas tree - a little larger than I expected since I was meant to be using 4-ply instead of 2-ply, but quite rewarding all the same!
