Golden Moment
This afternoon, finally the rain eased off. I visited my aunty again. She was resting in a chair in her lounge, which I think was better for her than being propped up in bed all day, as she was yesterday. She was more lucid today.
I took her these early Narcissus flowers which I had bought in the morning. As I grabbed the bunches from my Mum's kitchen work top I noticed how lovely the flowers looked with the sun streaming through the window.
I think they are either Narcissus Soleil d'Or or Golden Dawn, (a "tazzetta" type anyway, with multiple blooms per stem), possibly grown in the Scilly Isles. My aunt was delighted to receive them and to enjoy their strong fragrance. I was pleased to have brightened her day a little.
