All that jazz

A day that didn't go at all to plan, thanks to DPD and their totally unrealistic estimated delivery times .
Suffice to say that the parcel that was originally supposed to be delivered two days ago, that was re-scheduled for yesterday, finally arrived this afternoon. Much later than the eta. Another package with the same carrier, for MrM, was due for delivery today. It actually arrived, a little later than the first parcel.

I had hoped to go into town to fetch my repeat prescription and to go to the post office, there just wasn't enough time to get there and back before the eta of the first parcel or after delivery of the second. Mañana, as they say.

There was plenty to do while I stayed in, including 50 minutes waiting for someone at HMRC to pick up the phone. Credit where credit's due though - the woman I spoke to was really friendly and helpful, and supplied all the information required. Mystery solved!

Another excellent evening of jazz in Huddersfield. We went in on an early bus to claim our raffle prize from the last time - pie and mash and a pint for two. Delicious! (Worth mentioning that most of the glasses on the table belonged to the three ladies we were sharing it with...)
