Eating stinging nettles
What do you get up to at a Forest School Leaders conference? Well today Ken Greenway took us on a Food for Free Walk and we got to taste such delights as bramble leaves, stinging nettles, cow parsley and to suck nectar from clover flowers amongst others. This was only part of the day as we also covered basket making with willow, Story Journeys with Katrice Horsey the National Storytelling Laureate and Beyond the Sound map led by Chris Holland. A great day full of ideas to introduce into lessons.
