Fungus

I think this fungus might be a Trooping Funnel and according to Google is is edible but the stems are quite tough so many people just eat the caps. I don't eat mushrooms so can't offer an opinion on flavour.

There was quite a number growing in the woodland but most, apart from this one, had a bit of damage or a number of splits in the cap.

Dull and chilly today ..... the high winds and torrential rain passed us by today.
