Another walk along the Thames - the fastest way from D&C''s to the centre of Kingston.Met up with Ali for breakfast - she was starting late today as she had to work late. Lovely to have her to ourselves - we managed to have an adult conversation. I love the company of my grandchildren, but their presence does limit the exchange of information. 

She's stressed, but as usual, has several strategies worked out. Even now, we find it hard to accept that our children are grown-up enough to deal with their own lives, and we don't have to keep riding to the rescue ..
