over the fire raging - in our black forest area hit by natural disaster - not enough to subdue - but enough to provide some hope - to cool temperatures just a bit - after several days of scorching heat - to turn things around and make it feel like personnel finally scored one in the fight...
statistics stand:
-400 destroyed homes
-2,388 undamaged homes
-30% contained
-15,702 acres burned
-2 precious lives lost
it's being classified as the worst natural disaster in colorado's history - a horrific tragedy - however as bad as it has been - the shining light is to see how well our community has pulled together - how seamlessly all factions of personnel have worked with each other to act as one - supporting each other - not acting as separate entities - to see the bravery of firefighters on the frontlines to be able to save thousands of homes - how the fire came within feet, then stopped because of their strong working measures is amazing - a grateful feeling knowing it could've been so much worse - without a doubt makes for...
