Waxwing

I didn't go anywhere because it was horrible out there, but fortunately some birds came to me. I noticed 16 waxwings in a tree from my kitchen window and they came down in ones and twos to feed on cotoneaster and rose hips (extra). They continue to ignore the apples I put out.
This is the best waxwing year in Orkney that I can remember.
