Leaning Larch Trees
Looked ok when I got up, but by 9am, the rain had started. Fortunately we missed most of Storm Ciarán, we just had some wet weather to contend with. I had a fairly dry Lunchtime walk, when I got my blip of the larch trees, with a maple tree in the park. The needles on the larch are now starting to run and drop. It was fairly cold outside. When I got home, the rain restarted, and carried on for the rest of the afternoon. It didn't stop until just before 5pm, so a dark after work walk.
The 2nd of November is All Souls day in many south European and South American countries. Only mention this as I watched Young Montalbano Seven Mondays (Series 1 Episode 6). There are two plots. the first a murder of a wealthy man who has a drunken son. A gunman is involved in the ritualistic killing animals in the early hours of successive Mondays, with the climax happening on the eve of All Souls Day. Can be watched on BBC iPlayer at the time of writing.
