Early morning preening.

After flinging food everywhere enjoying their breakfast, the Rainbow Lorikeets perched on the palm leaves to preen their feathers.

It was very early in the morning and the sun was still making its way into my back graden, so I took quite a few photos (24) whilst standing in different places, trying to get a decent shot of the birds in this shade/sun situation.

And you know what? In every photo, the Lorikeet on the top right-hand side is glaring at me!! He must be the designated watch-bird!
