Proper Autumn colours

The park I was in yesterday is nearer the sea and may not have had a frost yet, causing poorer colours, this park definitely has had at least 1 frost.
It was bright this morning and after various jobs about the house (and sorting the sewing machine issue, I think) while Mr Rat did some shopping we both ventured out to the park for runs. It was very soggy underfoot in a couple of places and a few trees had to be negotiated but it was a good run.
The fallen tree in the main is also it the extra, it's uprooted and split down the middle, the biggest casualty I saw.
This afternoon I performed the surgery on Benjamin (the mini bear) and he is now nicely stuffed again. I also finished the cross-stitch card I was making and did various other sedentary things. I had thought of going out to rake up leaves but it was raining by then.
