Pageant Day

A very important day in Adelaide's yearly calendar.  It's the annual pageant, when the Old Man (no, not the one in the picture - that's my brother) but Father Christmas comes to town, and gets ensconced in the Magic Cave, wherein he is visited by a large number of little boys and girls.

My brother always decorates an old Austin 7 with balloons, and why this should involve me getting up at the ungodly hour of 5.15 totally escapes me, but I do it, and try to smile.
