This riot of colour was in the garden today.

I sorted the compost heaps, bagged up some leaf mould, picked up dropped leaves, sorted and packed plants into the cold frame.

I removed all remaining green tomatoes and disposed of the plants. Green tomato chutney or green tomato marmalade awaits. I tidied the borders, planted bulbs, strung up the trailing wisteria, and pruned the roses.

Five hours I spent gardening today. No wonder ny limbs ache.
