....and the band played on

Stopped by after a day of training in Fairfax to see friend L's son in his marching band dress rehearsal. He's a freshman in high school, and it was fun to see him in formation with the others, all be-plumed and precise. I've known him since he was three and his little brother was barely one. The band headed to Richmond the next morning and won first place in the state championships for their group size. 

Saw this tree shining in the stadium lights.
