Oriental Lily

When I brought these Lilies home just over a week ago my wife thought that they were ordinary white lilies that had been painted or sprayed partly because of their strange colours  If you look at the buds at the top of the image you can see why she might have thought this. However, when the buds opened into blooms and the interior colour was just as strong we had to admit that this could not have been achieved by paintwork and that oriental lilies do exhibit these weird colours.
