Derwenthaugh Country Park

Lovely colours of autumn seen on our walk this morning.  This couple were taking photos of the swans and their cygnets.

Derwenthaugh was formerly an NCB Coking Plant and my dad used to work there when I was a little girl.  It was a very industrial area but was returned to nature after it closed in 1986.  Red kites and deer can often be seen.
