Drugs bust!

In period 2, Year 8 did an incredible job as forensic detectives, as they worked out what the white powder found on a suspect was, by testing it against three other, known substances (it was aspirin).

You will not believe this but in period 1, and having no idea about Year 8s practical, three of my Year 10s crushed parma violet sweets into a white powder, got out their bus passes and proceeded to simulate snorting cocaine.

Trust me, this was not part of the syllabus. I wish I’d been a fly on the wall when the school called their parents.
