Conferencing

A long day today at a conference, but a good day. I was really struck by this image from a paper in the morning, showing a replica pictish carved stone that's been painted. It makes the point that the past was colourful. We often forget that as the pigments don't often survive into the present.

I was also presenting a paper with a colleague, which seemed to go well. But it did make me realise that I'm very out of practice!
