A goldfinch on its final approach

I've been worried about the small numbers of birds in our garden compared to recent years. I fear avian flu has been affecting them badly. But I am pleased that we do have a couple of goldfinches still feeding daily. I even saw a bullfinch a couple of days ago. 

I think I may start to record the sightings again as we did when we first came to live here twenty years ago and before I started feeding the smaller birds on a regular basis.
