Last Standing
I managed to get out and about a bit today. So where does someone who spends his working days with cyclists and bike racing? He goes to a bike race, of course!
The bike pic was taken at the top of the climb to the Whispering Wall at the end of lap 6. A nasty little climb in two parts. Following a fast descent you have to jump on the brakes and almost come to a complete stop and immediately start climbing at around 6-8% which quickly turns into 11% then levels out at 6% for 40 metres then jumps to 11% for the final 600 metres - it hurts. Today they had to climb it 7 times.
The above blip was taken from the hill when I went looking for suitable bush for a nature break. I found a secluded spot right next to this wild flower? It seemed to be a wild flower - but I wouldn't know a wild flower from a tame one, so have no idea what it is. This is another including a wee visitor.
The busy day also included some iPhone shots early morning and late afternoon.
Apologies for not commenting too much lately, but I have been rather preoccupied with other stuff.
