The rain garden in the rose garden.

The rose garden was redesigned as part of the wider redevelopment of Zetland Park during 2014-2022. Part of it contains the rain garden - a richly planted swale which acts as a water gathering and water management feature. It’s considered to be a scalable model for bigger nature based flooding solutions developments. This bespoke area was designed to be rich in bio diversity in terms of plants, (change with the seasons), and wildlife etc too.

The rain garden is award winning. https://centralscotlandgreennetwork.org/green-flag-award-for-zetland-parks-raingarden/
